Casio x AFSP

A partnership between Casio watches and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention seemed natural - time is the most valuable thing we have.

Casio is a well known brand, but they lack purpose in their products. With such a well-established name, a lot of good can be done. This is our attempt to make a watch brand stand for more.





We found that blue-collar, middle-aged men are at the highest risk for suicide.

Casio watches are durable and inexpensive: perfect for that demographic.


A wristwatch is worn daily.


By pairing a watch with a purpose, those who are already looking at their wrist several times a day will be reminded not only of the time of day, but the value of their time.

We designed a heartbeat secondhand into the watch face to emphasize the connection between life and time.

We also designed an inscription with prevention resources for crisis:
